What will flower for you in Vedic astrology for May, 2017?

There’s an American expression that “April showers bring May flowers”.  What did you plant in April which can bloom in May? What thunderstorms did you endure?  Was anything washed away by the rain?  We can continue to cultivate our personal landscape in Jyotish or Vedic astrology for May, 2017.  This month, Sun, Moon, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Saturn continue to be imbued with planetary strength to provide you with the proper gardening implements.

MERCURY RETROGRADE ENDS

The starting event in Vedic astrology for May, 2017 is the ending of Mercury retrograde on May 2.  The first week in May is the time when you can feel the greatest impact of the mercurial mind of the intellectual, yet fun loving planet. It’s not happy having to dig in its speedy heels.  Hence, it will kick up a dusty residue as it returns to its forward motion in Aries. Be firm, as your mind may be wavering on what to do. Let the strength of the exalted Sun illumine you with courage and foresight.

Saturn’s retrogression through Mula nakshatra in Sagittarius creates the opportunity for you to decide what you want to weed out of your garden and what you’d like to have bloom.  Keep focusing on your dharma and staying on highest path rather than any engaging in any type of drama.  This is Saturn’s final full month in Sagittarius until November.  As the month draws on, it moves slower and slower.  If you are in a Saturn cycle, plan the next few months carefully. You’ll want to focus on what’s important for the coming years.  If something is withering away in your life, it may be time to let it come to a natural conclusion.

FULL MOON IN VEDIC ASTROLOGY FOR MAY, 2017

The full Moon in Vedic astrology for May, 2017 is on the 10th.  The Moon is full in Libra in the constellation of Vishakha.  This full Moon is Vaishakha Purnima. You will be super focused on what you want to achieve. However, don’t let social and family commitments fall by the wayside.  Take care of your physical well-being.  This is one of two months each year when we have both the Sun and Moon at their peak.  More information will be posted on my Facebook page and additional guidance will be provided to Reflective Mindset Group members.

The Sun moves into sidereal Taurus on May 14.  As it does so, it joins Mars.  In Ayurvedic terms, both of these are the “Pitta’ planets. What does Taurus represent in your personal chart?  Are you in a Sun or Mars cycle?  You may feel the heat both personally and professionally. Reflective Mindset Group members will be provided with some dietary tips for this time.

NEW MOON

The new Moon in Vedic astrology is on May 25 in Taurus.  If you have a Taurus ascendant or Moon, you want to pay special attention to how you use your energies.  It’s not the time for new beginnings but rather for inward activity. Follow me on Facebook for further practices.

Vedic astrology for May, 2017The next day, Mars moves its heat to airy Gemini.  Will your crops dry up or be prone to hot winds which cause them to sway?  Can you remain fixed and directed?  With this move, Mars and Mercury participate in a house swap or a parivartana yoga.  This can be either beneficial or problematic, based on what houses Aries and Gemini represent for you in your natal chart.  To get greater insight, you can read the book Parivartana Yoga.

Mars and Saturn will be opposite each other for approximately two weeks.  This will likely be a challenging time in world politics. Will you use cold water or the hot sun to care for your garden?  Reflective Mindset Group members will receive personal guidance for this time and be supported via an online forum.

Did your love life blossom during the last few months when Venus was in Pisces?  Was it a bed of roses for you in the romance department?  At month end, Venus moves into Aries, creating greater opportunities for romance for Aries and Libra ascendants.

Take advantage of the fertile ground in Vedic astrology for May, 2017 to plant the seeds which you wish to sow.  Choose carefully based on your own astrological chart for maximum blossoms and minimal weeds.
