The First Half of 2008 Comes to a Conclusion

Believe it or not, and like it or not, half of the year is over. It doesn’t even seem that long ago that we were ringing in the millennium. Time flies, whether we are having fun or not.

So, it’s a perfect time to reflect on what has occurred so far. What are the most memorable moments for you so far this year? What has worked out as you had visioned? What has exceeded your expectations/ hopes? What has not happened that you had been hoping for or anticipating?

What has brought you the most joy? And sorrow? Have you been able to live in the present moment or are you too busy re-living in the past or anticipating the future?

Take a look at what goals and resolutions you set for the year.  See what needs to be amended and what can be checked off the list.

Also study your vision board and see what has borne fruit. See what items may need to be added. Or, perhaps it’s time to make another board.

While we can’t relive the past or change decisions that were made, we can certainly take a moment to reflect on what lessons hwve been learned. Everything can present an opportunity for personal growth, no matter how challenging the circumstances. The lessons may not be apparent, but they can be uncovered over time or with the help of an advisor.

Write out your vision for the rest of the year and take time to vision it. Create some affirmations to reinforce these ideals. As the holiday approaches, take some time to rejuvenate. Then, take the necessary steps to positively move forward with your vision and goals. we can’t re-live the past or change what decisions we made, we can certainly take a moment to reflect on what lessons have been learned. Everything can present an opportunity for personal growth, no matter how challenging the circumstances. The lessons may not be apparent, but can be uncovered over time or with the help of an advisor.
